Welcome to BrodskyComm

It’s not easy making your voice heard in Washington.  The issues
are complex.  There are a lot of others competing for attention.

With more than 25 years of experience in Washington journalism
and public relations, I know how to shape your message, and to
produce your message.  Whether you need a long-term strategy, or a
quick turn-around assignment,  I can help.

Please take the opportunity to poke around the Web site.   The
"services" section will show you what I do:
        PR strategy
       media relations
       writing and editing --
               press releases
               letters to the editor
               op-eds
               position papers and talking points
        research

    The “
about” section will show you my resume in some detail, and
some writing clips.   The “
contact” page is, well, that’s sort of obvious.

And, in case you get bored, I’ve included some links to our favorite
vacation sites.  If you’re into hiking and nice mountains and
waterfalls, you should like these.  You will find those inside.

Thanks for your time.  I hope we can work together.

Areas of Expertise

For most of my time in Washington, I was
involved with the telecom biz.  I was with
Communications Daily for 16 years,
covering the FCC, state regulators,
Congress and the private sector through
issues ranging from access tariffs
through the Telecom Act of 1996 and
Digital Millennium Copyright Act.     I also
directed telecom coverage as an editor at
Congressional Quarterly.

My telecom experience also extends to
the PR world, as director of
communications at the National
Telecommunications and Information
Administration, at the Washington office
of Qwest Communications International
and at small consulting firms in
Washington.  I'm now Communications
Director for
Public Knowledge, a
Washington advocacy group.

I'm also conversant in other issues.  At
CQ, I was the editor in charge of daily
coverage of aviation, energy,
transportation, environment and
agriculture.  I also covered energy issues
as a reporter.
